It's a small, privately owned liquor store that has the variety of much larger locations.
The attendant (Owner) was very impolite maybe after she listened to my foreign accent.
Not a bad selection of wine. I wish they had more Spanish and Portuguese whites (Albarinos, Vinho Verdes, Txocolinas, etc.) but was super-happy to find some French roses, and Sancerres. Thank you. Also, the people who work here are really really nice. And the prices are just fine.
First, she asked for my wife's ID in order to sell us liquor (We are in our mid 30's and we look like it), as my wife didn't have it, I went to our car to get her ID. Then, when I returned with my wife's ID, she said that she needed mine too. I said that I was not going to pay for wine, that my wife was going to pay for it. Then, the attendant said she knew we were together, so, she needed to see my ID too. So, once again, I went to my car to look for my ID. Finally, after my wife and I had both IDs, she decided not to sell us the liquor for "unknown reason". I told her that I was going to call the police, and she actually started laughing and calling the names all the town's policemen aloud. Then, she stated that she was the mayor of the town. At any rate, I called the police, and they said she was in her rights if she didn't want to sell us liquor. The police officer didn't want to make a report, and I said I wanted to do so in order to notify in case that it happens again with another customers. So, he pretended to make a report.
Got a bottle of Grogle there.
